Purpose: The application implements a complex two-dimensional CFD model of combustion, heat production, and pollutant development
in a pulverized coal fired boiler (PCB) with biomass co-firing and air staging control. The model incorporates equations for 2D compressible
turbulent flow, coal combustion, convective and radiative heat transfer and reactions of the most important chemical species with focus
on nitrogen oxides production.
