Election Program

Let us develop our school together as a workplace with traditional values and prestige given by the results achieved in education, science and research and as a workplace combining the education of top specialists with the research activities focused on the future of natural sciences.

Education

The school is for students - let us use the potential of study programs accredited in the new structure, and increase the quality and convenience of our educational system. In this domain, I would like to focus on:
  • development of a characteristic graduate profile based on deeper theoretical basis in mathematical, physical, chemical and computer sciences useful in the analysis and solution of interdisciplinary problems emerging in modern science and technology
  • increasing attractiveness and convenience of our studies, fair and individual approach to our students
  • encouraging the feedback of students and of the academic senate as a tool for increasing the quality of the studies
  • cooperation with students in organizing events both during and outside the classes
  • responsible treatment of accredited study programs and using their potential for further development
  • promoting cooperation between departments with common study programs
  • optimizing the transition from high school to university and supporting the tutors
  • implementing study programs in English at all degrees of education
  • supporting the international student exchange programs close to our curriculum with good reciprocity
  • active promotion of our programs taught in Czech and English among applicants from the Czech Republic and abroad
  • long-term support for the olympiads and competitions at high schools to attract good students
  • increasing the scholarship rewarding excellent study results
  • awards of the best bachelor and diploma projects in every field of education
  • supporting study programs in Děčín
  • supporting the lifelong education program
  • utilization of the experience gained during the pandemic period for innovation and improvement of current teaching methods

Research

Our school as a modern center of natural sciences that actively responds to new calls in research and science. Here, I would like to address the following aspects:
  • focusing on advanced areas of interdisciplinary research using the cooperative potential of all departments
  • developing the research potential based on the idea of the CAAS project
  • taking advantage of the forthcoming Operational Program Jan Amos Komenský of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports for new projects in research, development and education
  • supporting the preparation of new projects and grants, participation in large projects focused on basic and applied research
  • supporting department research in large collaborations and ensuring the extent of research regardless of changes in government support
  • respecting the needs given by the operation of the unique experimental facilities of the school
  • supporting large strategic investments in research infrastructure
  • development of scientific cooperation with local and foreign institutions
  • supporting cooperation with industry and the use of the potential of alumni
  • development of the research facilities in Děčín
  • long-term monitoring of research parameters of our school and preparation of inputs for future evaluation according to the Methodology 17+ of the Czech Government

Human Resources

Creative environment, mutually supportive cooperation and natural personal growth form the basis of successful development. I would therefore like to:
  • support creative and accommodating environment, communicate with departments, take advantage of the suggestions of the academic senate and faculty members
  • use the potential of experienced faculty members in combination with enthusiasm and new stimuli from younger colleagues to accelerate the development of our school
  • support mutual cooperation and communication between departments
  • strongly support the career growth in science and teaching of younger faculty members of all departments in accordance with the needs of the school and its study programs
  • support all activities enabling career promotion according to the needs of the school
  • expand opportunities for professional and career continuity for colleagues with a parental or caregiving role
  • recruit new young employees to ensure a full generation structure in the departments of the school
  • open the option for the teaching expertise of the students and alumni

Development and Services

Our school is a professional home for students and staff. I would therefore like to focus on improving our common environment, efficiency and flexibility of the administration that accompanies our day-to-day activities:
  • reconstruction and maintenance of our buildings
  • completion of the reconstruction of the building in Trojanova 13
  • steady improvement of the convenient environment for students and employees on the premises of the school
  • establishing relax zones for students
  • adequate and comfortable electronic administration
  • enhancing the helpdesk service with the feedback for employees and students
  • ensuring the proper functionality of the Dean's Office and efficient administration
  • administration communicating in English
  • efficient administration of all degrees of education
  • making the space in Betlémský palác available for research teams operating at our school
  • optimization of IT infrastructure and central computing services
  • implementation of information and cyber security

Public Relations

Our school has its own prestige based on the results in education and science within the Czech Republic, Europe and the world. It is therefore important to ensure:
  • steady and focused promotion of natural sciences as a basis for successful industry and living standards in the Czech Republic
  • emphasis on the image of our school as a CTU scientific research base
  • cooperation and communication with other faculties and institutes of the Czech Technical University
  • strengthening external relations with institutions of similar scientific orientation
  • improving contacts with industry and business
  • improving the internet and media presentation of the school
  • strengthening contacts with alumni and future employers of our students
  • supporting new methods and initiatives of the PR department for the external promotion of the school as an attractive place for studies, science and research

Promotion of the study programs at the FNSPE CTU by supervising the high-school projects, promotion of the study programs at the FNSPE CTU at the regional and national level of the Mathematical Olympiad, together with the Department of Humanities and Languages - promotion among the international students at the Institute for language and Preparatory Studies of the Charles University at Poděbrady, supervising regular and mutual student exchange of the bachelor, master and doctoral students with the Kanazawa University, Japan.
