Characteristics: The workshop is organized as a satellite meeting to the Czech-Japanese Seminar in Applied Mathematics held in the Department of Mathematics, FNSPE CTU in Prague on August 4-7, 2004. The purpose of the workshop is to allow a free exchange of ideas among young Czech and Japanese researchers in the field of numerical analysis of partial differential equations. The meeting is being prepared in the collaboration of the CTU in Prague and the Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan.
